Barcelona: Barcelona say goalkeeper Jose Pinto has accepted a one-year contract extension until the end of the 2013-14 season. The Spanish club say Pinto will sign the new contract on Monday.
The 37-year-old Pinto has been Victor Valdes' steady backup for the past four and a half seasons. While Valdes typically handles the Spanish league and Champions League games, Pinto plays in the Copa del Rey and helped Barcelona win the cup in 2009 and last season.
Valdes said recently that he plans to leave Barcelona when his contract expires at the end of next season, meaning Barcelona could lose both goalkeepers at the same time.
