New Delhi: The National Media Council in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) ordered the withdrawal of Salman Khan starrer God Tussi Great Ho after it received complaints of film violating Islamic teachings.
The Council received complaints from viewers regarding the content of the film in which Amitabh Bachchan plays God.
This prompted the authorities to stop its screening in order to protect their religious norms.
Directed by Rumy Jafry, God Tussi Great Ho released on August 15 and stars Salman Khan, Amitabh Bachchan and Priyanka Chopra in the lead. The movie is inspired by 2003's Jim Carrey strarrer Bruce Almighty.
