'Godfather' audio release: AR Rahman honoured

The biggest pride of this Indian sub continent AR Rahman, his first Kannada film music composition 'Godfather' audio was released by him at Chancellary Hotel. He received a lovely tribute in the two hours audio release event he attended and bigwigs of Kannada cinema industry Ambarish, Dwarakish, Hamsalekha and others honoured the legendary AR Rahman in a glittering event on last Saturday night.

AR Rahman was in flashback mood. 'Channagiddira'…is the Kannada word he uttered and recalled his days in Kannada film music with Vijayabhasker, Hamsalekha and Vijay Anand he learnt the significance of film music. The Kannada fans were inquiring on Kannada songs and now I can sing this film song for them in US and other places. I thank Hamsalekha for telling so many good words stated the genius in film music AR Rahman.

The real Godfather of this 'Godfather' cinema is AR Rahman stated Upendra super star of Kannada cinema. Upendra is in three roles in the film. Apparently AR Rahman has composed only two songs for 'Godfather' and remaining five tunes are from the original cinema 'Varalaru' for that he is the music director.

AR Rahman\'s first Kannada film music composition \'Godfather\' audio was released by him at Chancellary Hotel.

After the live performance of songs by Vijayaprakash, Shwetha Mohan, Naresh Iyer (a beauty from this singer on mother song) the dignitaries Ambarish, Sumalatha, Hamsalekha, Upendra, Priyanka, Dr Jayamala, Soundaraya Jayamala, Dwarakish, producer K Manju lyricists Kalyan, Kaviraj, music director V Manohar, Prasad of Ashwini Media Network and others on the dais the melody king AR Rahman released the album of 'Godfather'.

Noted producers Munirathna Naidu, Dwarakish, Hamsalekha, Ramesh Aravind and Ambarish spoke on this occasion. The tribute to AR Rahman from Shadows Team was well received.

Producer K Manju explained that the genius in film music AR Rahman without asking single paisa agreed to compose for the film.
