New Delhi: A year after its launch, Google Plus finally gets an iPad app. The iPhone app for Google's fledgling social networking service hit the Apple App Store less than a month after its launch on June 28, 2011.
Version 3.0 of the Google+ app on the Apple App Store now offers full support for the Apple iPad as well as the iPhone.
"The Google+ app for iPad was designed with the device in mind. Your stream styles content based on popularity, type and orientation," Bradley Horowitz, Google's vice president (product) said in a post on the official Google blog.
The Google Plus iPad app includes features such as pinch and expand posts in the stream to add comments, two finger drag post from stream to re-share and starting a hangout streaming it to TV using AirPlay.
Google has also added creating and managing events feature to the Google Plus iOS app and the ability to start a Hangout with up to nine other users. Users can also attach Instant Upload photos to posts.
