Patna: The Bihar state's Building Construction Department has asked the party to vacate the office.
However, LJP leader Ram Vilas Paswan has warned that any such move is bound to cause bloodshed in the state.
Ram Vilash Paswan said, " Yadi LJP ka karyalaya khali karwane ki naubat ayi toh khun bahegi sadko pe (If we are asked to vacate the office, there is going to be bloodshed in the streets)."
The state government has already served an eviction notice to the LJP chief for vacating his party office premises within a week. The government is taking pretext of security concerns.
The state authorities say it is because the office is located in a restricted area close to the VIP quarters and the airport.
Estate Officer, Building Department,. Ranjan Kumar said, " Wo quarter restricted area main hai, jaha most VIP logo ka quarter hai, waha disturbance, security reasons se thik nahi hai, bagal main airport bhi hai, inn saab karno se, restricted area ko dhayan main rakhte hue unka allotment cancel kiya gaya hai" (The only pretext for asking them to vacate the building is because its location falls in the VIP area and is also the airport is nearby).”
However, clearly the provocation seems to be Paswans recent jail bharo agitation which was run from this office.
The issue has now become a political rallying point for Paswan and his friend, RJD leader Lalu Prasad Yadav.
Ram Vilash Paswan said, "Ye rajniti se purvagrasht hai, achi rajniti jo hoti hai use upar ye log nikalte hai, hamare karyakartawo ka manobaal ucha hai, high hai."
And its given the Opposition a good reason to complain that the Nitish government is following a politics of vendetta similar to what happens in Uttar Pradesh and Tamil Nadu.
