Govt gets Tricolour wrong in publicity ad

CNN-IBN

New Delhi: A full-page Union government advertisement announcing the launch of Rajiv Gandhi Grameen Vidyutikaran Yogna in West Bengal that appeared in Kolkata's English and vernacular dailies has the Tricolour printed in reverse.

The mistake was spotted in several newspapers while others had it printed right.

The advertisement which contains pictures of top leaders like Prime Minister Manmohan Singh, Congress President Sonia Gandhi and former prime minister late Rajiv Gandhi has the Bharat Nirman slogan superimposed on the Triclour with the saffron colour in the bottom and green on top.

Union power minister Sushil Kumar Shinde is schedule to launch the yojna in Goalpokher in Bengal's north Dinajpur district on Tuesday.
