New Delhi: JD(U) leader and NDA convener Sharad Yadav has said that the government must take over the Padnamabhaswamy temple in Kerala and use the wealth for the development of all the Hindu temples in India.

He also said that the government must introduce a bill in Parliament to regulate the riches of temples. "This wealth belongs to the people. The government should introduce a bill in Parliament. The government must make it into a corpus and use it only to develop Hindu religious places," Yadav said.

Treasures worth Rs 1 lakh crore have been discovered at the Padmanabhaswamy temple in Kerala.
