Mumbai: The government is still divided over building Mumbai's second airport in Navi Mumbai. Maharashtra Chief Minister Ashok Chavan will be meeting Prime Minister Manmohan Singh to discuss the issue on Friday.

Environment minister Jairam Ramesh and Civil Aviation Minister Praful Patel have already had two rounds of meetings, one of which was during Parliament session.

Praful Patel ruled out an alternative site and insisted that the proposal to construct the airport at the Navi Mumbai site was the best.

While Ramesh argued that the proposal may raise many environmental concerns. Both leaders have agreed to give a second look at the possibilities of the second airport in Mumbai.
