New Delhi: A bill will be introduced in the Budget session of Parliament to grant rights to street vendors for ensuring their livelihood without any harassment by various agencies, Union Minister Ajay Maken said on Sunday.

Maken told a delegation of NCP leaders led by Ramvir Singh Bidhuri that the manner in which municipal corporations of Delhi were removing rehari, patri vendors and demolishing JJ clusters was totally unconstitutional and against norms.

"He said according to the norms laid down, people living in JJ clusters cannot be removed till they are provided with proper rehabilitation by the concerned civic agency," an NCP statement said.
