Rajkot: Amidst dissidence and internal bickering in Gujarat BJP, party's two-day state executive meeting will start in the city from Saturday, to plan its strategy for the assembly elections.
The meeting incidentally comes in the wake of the resignation of BJP leader Sanjay Joshi from the party on Friday.
Joshi, who had already resigned from the party's national executive, worked for almost ten years in the party in Rajkot and was in touch with the grassroot-level workers.

The meeting incidentally comes in the wake of the resignation of BJP leader Sanjay Joshi from the party on Friday.
The state unit is also facing major dissidence from former Gujarat chief minister Keshubhai Patel and his group, who have openly challenged Modi government's rule in the run up to the state elections.
The state party top brass, including Gujarat chief minister Narendra Modi, will be meeting for two days to finalise party's poll strategy, which the BJP prefers to call 'Mission 2012'.
Interestingly, the two day state executive meeting has been organised in Keshubhai's home town.
"State BJP leaders today held a meeting for the preparation of the executive meet here," Dhansukh Bhanderi president of BJP city unit said adding that the meeting would be headed by party's state unit chief R C Faldu.
Balbir Punj, in-charge of party affairs (Gujarat) is also expected to attend the meet, he said.
According to Bhanderi, the party was also planning to hold a public gathering, which is to be addressed by the chief minister in the concluding session.
The state assembly election is likely to be held December this year and the main agenda of the meeting would be assembly election, he added.
