Jamnagar: Congress General Secretary Rahul Gandhi finally campaigned in Gujarat on the last day of campaigning for the first phase of elections. Though Rahul did not name Gujarat Chief Minister Narendra Modi, he did say that the Gujarat Chief Minister did not listen to the people, but himself.

"Aam aadmi is not heard in Gujarat. The Gujarat CM only listens to himself. He has his dreams and he thinks only about them," Rahul said. "A true leader listens to the voices of the aam aadmi and not his own," he added.

Praising the people of Gujarat, Rahul Gandhi said the state has given the country greats like Mahatma Gandhi and Sam Pitroda. He also said that Mahatma Gandhi was his political guru.

Rahul also attacked the BJP government in the state saying, "This is very good marketing by them saying Gujarat is shining. Gujarat does not get water, there is massive unemployment in the state, but Gujarat is shining."
