Ahmedabad: Two persons were arrested in connection with the alleged rape of a minor girl in Ved village of Patan district in Ahmedabad, police said on Monday. According to police, a 13-year-old girl was returning from the school of her village, around 125 kms from here, on December 28, when she was kidnapped by Lala Mali (19), who took her to Patan in north Gujarat.
From there, Lala and his brother Dinesh Raghunath (28) took the minor girl to Ahmedabad in a bus before taking her to Dharampur in Valsad district by train, where the duo sexually assaulted the girl, police said. Meanwhile, the parents of the girl, who started searching for her, got the information that the girl was kidnapped by a person, who stayed in their relative's society.
They approached the police in the evening and acting on a tip-off, a police team under Circle Inspector JJ Chaudhry, arrested Mali and Raghunath from Dharampur taluka of Valsad district on December 29. The girl was rescued from the duo and was brought to Sami Sunday night.

The girl was returning from her school on December 28, when she was kidnapped by one of the accused.
Meanwhile, the girl underwent a medical check-up on Monday, the detailed report of which is awaited, police said, adding that her condition is now stable.
