New Delhi: Gujjar protest will on Wednesday be seen in Delhi on the tenth day of their agitation, demanding five per cent quota in the OBC category in Government jobs and educational institutions.

Blocked rail routes due to the Gujjar protests between Delhi-Jaipur and Delhi-Mumbai, road blockades between Jaipur and Agra among other places in Rajasthan may have inconvenienced thousands of people in the ten days. But the Ashok Gehlot government which has been blamed for mishandling the quota protests has returned to its old line, that the protests were managed by the Bharatiya Janata Party.

Gehlot said, "I have been told that the plotting of the Gujjar protests was done by some people who gathered at the wedding of BJP president Nitin Gadkari's son."

Since the most violent clashes during the Gujjar protests in 2008 which killed over 70 people took place under the Vasundhara Raje government watch, the BJP has been on the backfoot. But now it senses an opportunity to strike back.

BJP spokesperson Rajiv Pratap Rudy said that such things are not to be commented upon as these are baseless allegations.

Gujjar demands may have been assuaged by the state government's promise of a four percent job quota until a future judgement comes through. But there is no stopping, it seems the sniping between political parties in the state.
