Gurgaon A 32-year-old corporate executive went missing under mysterious circumstances on Thursday night. His car, a Honda City was found in a burnt state on the Delhi-Gurgaon highway the next morning.
All that the family and the police know about Deepak is that he was driving down the Delhi-Gurgaon highway on Thursday night. His car was found in ashes on the same highway but there were no traces, which could suggest a possible abduction or attack on him.
“I appeal to everyone, whoever has seen Deepak please get it touch with the police. Whoever has taken him, please let him go. He has a family for god's sake,” said Shelly Mendiratta Deepak’s wife.
Mendiratta worked in a manpower consultancy firm in Gurgaon. While the family hasn't got any ransom call so far, police has not found any evidence that suggests Deepak could have been hurt. They don’t have any clue, whether he is dead or alive.
“We are probing the circumstances, which could have led to the incident. His car was found burnt. And the owner has been missing since. We are tracking clues,” said Sumit Kumar ACP East Gurgaon.
Eight robberies took place in Gurgaon last weekend, almost all of them in areas with high security. With violent crime spiraling in this glitzy suburb, Mendiretta's family knows that they should be ready for the worst. But for now, all they can do now is wait and hope.
