New Delhi: The son of the BMW car owner, Suraj Singh Sherawat, surrendered in court on Tuesday in the Gurgaon BMW hit-and-run case. The police will now question the 21-year-old in connection with the accident in which two people including a pregnant woman were killed.
This came days after a person claiming to be the driver of the BMW car had surrendered and was arrested. A Gurgaon court had on Monday dropped the anticipatory bail of Rajesh, the man who surrendered.
The Gurgaon Police did not opposed the bail plea of Rajesh as the initial investigations showed he was not driving the car and hence was not a suspect.
Meanwhile, the blood from the BMW car has been sent to a Central Forensic Science Lab to ascertain the driver's identity.
A pregnant woman and her driver were killed in the May 5 accident, when a speeding BMW collided with an Indigo near IFFCO Chowk.
