Gurgaon: SIT to probe chief judicial magistrate's wife death case

Gurgaon: A Special Investigative Team (SIT) has been formed to probe the Chief Judicial Magistrate's wife death case. The SIT has also questioned the magistrate in the case.

A murder case was registered on Saturday but no one has been named so far. Gitanjali's body was found lying in a park on Wednesday evening. The woman's brother had lodged a complaint and said she was harassed by her husband and his family.

"We have demanded a CBI inquiry. The Chief Minister has assured us a fair probe in the case," he said

According to DCP (west), Surender Pal, Gitanjali's body, aged around 30, was found with two bullet injury marks. Police also recovered a weapon from near the body.

The DCP had said that the weapon belongs to the deceased's family with confirmation of the same having been received from the chief judicial magistrate himself.
