Neog was first questioned and then arrested.

Police sources indicate there is enough evidence to suggest his complicity in the case.

The unedited footage of the incident has been sent for tests. Neog had resigned from NewsLive which aired the footage of the molestation, after allegations were levelled against him.

Angry journalists in Guwahati, however, say that Neog is being made a scapegoat, and have held protests in recent days.

Key accused still at large

Key accused in the Guwahati molestation incident, Amar Jyoti Kalita, is still absconding, with the police claiming he fled to Odisha in the aftermath of the incident, from where he fled to Mumbai.
