The success of 'In Harihar Nagar' which came out in the year 1990 paved a new trend in the cinema, the film on group of youthful heroes, their friendship and camaraderie as the central plot point in Mollywood movies. This trend continued for the entire decade mostly propagated by the likes of Siddique and Jagadish.
Then by 2008, it was again the producer-director Lal, who came up with two more sequels of it, '2 Harihar Nagar' and 'In Ghost House Inn', which were also popular in the masses.
The latest reports are that after attaining a hat trick with his 'Harihar Nagar', Lal has started writing the fourth part of the series which will also feature the fun filled life and adventures of four friends, Mahadevan (Mukesh), Govindan Kutty (Siddique), Thomas Kutty (Ashokan) and Appukuttan (Jagadish). The new movie is expected to be out by the mid of 2013.
