New Delhi: The fifth Harry Potter film opens to packed theatres on July 13, but what’s next is perhaps even more eagerly anticipated – the release of the seventh and final book in the series on July 21. And that is because that’s what is going to answer the million dollar question – will Harry Potter die and how will the series end?
Though, two self-professed hackers claim to have revealed the so-called 'secret ending' on the Internet, there's no end to the speculation.
Even the members of the cast of the Harry Potter series are making a few wild guesses.
“She’s (Hermione) got to marry Ron, they've got to have lots of beautiful babies, she's got to have a really good career,” says Emma Watson who plays Hermione Granger.
While Ruper Grint who plays Harry’s best friend Ron Weasley says, “I think a death scene would be pretty cool. It's probably not likely, but it would be quite fun to do, I think.”
And it seems Robbie Coltrane, who plays the role of Hagrid, already has an inkling of what is in store for him in the next book.
“I kind of know how my character bows out, actually,” says Coltrane but also hastens to add that he is “just kidding.”
But is the boy wizard himself ready to mourn the death of his onscreen avtaar?
“I'm just as excited as anybody else, possibly even more so because of the connection between me and Harry, which is quite obvious to people. I'm not getting sad just yet because I've got, as you say, two more films to do after this one has come out, so yes, it's going to be a little while yet before I'll get the tissues ready, but for now, I'm just excited to see what happens to me,” says Daniel Radcliffe who plays the protagonist Harry Potter’s part.
And if all that guessing and wondering is giving you sleepless nights, here's a word of advice from the horse’s mouth.
“Believe nothing. Well, if I start confirming and denying it gets complicated, but no one should be too worried about secrets being given away yet,” says J K Rowling.
And what could be better than to catch the new film in the series to kill time before the final book hits stores.
