Hartal for a better road

KUMBALANGI: Kumbalangi panchayat on Tuesday witnessed a dawn-to-dusk hartal against the bad condition of the Kumbalangi-Ezhupunna Road.
 The protest was called by the Autorickshaw Thozhilali Samyuktha Samara Samithi in association with the CITU, AITUC and Kerala Catholic Youth Movement.
 As part of the hartal, a protest march was taken out by the Samara Samithi members from Kumbalangi North to Kumbalangi Ellical Junction.
 CPM leader P A Peter, led the protest march.
 The union members M S Shobhithan, K P Sudevan, K K Sureshbabu and M Abduljabar spoke on the occasion.
