Haryana: Two girls shot at, 1 dead; angry villagers block Kaithal-Patiala road

Chandigarh: Another shocking case of violence against women in Haryana surfaced on Wednesday. Two schoolgirls were shot at by a motorcycle-borne assailant on Wednesday morning at Kaithal.

Angry villagers took to the streets after one of the girls succumbed to her injuries. They blocked the Kaithal-Patiala road by placing the victim's body on the road.

Incensed villagers also pelted stones at two Haryana Roadways buses. There was tension in the area as the other girl remained critical and was battling for her life at the hospital. The victim's family claims the police has been of no help.
