MYSORE: Leader of Opposition in Assembly Siddaramaiah welcomed Karnataka High Court Chief Justice Vikramjit Sen’s objections to the appointment of Justice Chandrashekaraiah as Upa Lokayukta.
“The state government had taken unilateral decision by ignoring the names suggested by the Opposition and appointed its own candidate as Upalokayukta. Hence,we will oppose it strongly,” said Siddaramaiah.
He questioned why JD(S) supremo Deve Gowda was encouraging family politics by projecting H D Kumaraswamy as the JD(S) chief ministerial candidate. “This exposes the JD(S)’ so-called secular claims,” he said.
