Kolkata: The Calcutta High Court will on Friday hear a PIL filed against violation of athlete Pinki Pramanik's human rights. The PIL filed by RS Chattopadhyay has hit out at still keeping her in police custody.
On Tuesday, the West Bengal Human Rights Commission ordered a probe into the allegations of human right violations of the athlete and sought a report within a week from the state police chief and the state home secretary.
Pinki Pramanik has been accused of being a male and raping her former partner and is currently in judicial custody.
An MMS of her alleged medical test had also gone viral on the internet.
