CHENNAI: T K Sreekanth and wife Latha took that fateful trip to Nepal as their children wanted to see the world’s tallest mountains, recalled their neighbours in Virugambakkam.
“Latha told me just the day before leaving that her children wanted to see the Himalayas,” said Sangeetha, their neighbour in Grace Enclave in Senthil Andavar Koil Street.
The neighbours exuded confidence that Sreekanth would bounce back for the sake of his two children.
The family was supposed to return to Chennai on Wednesday as they had a family wedding on May 23, the nAeighbours said.
Another neighbour, Prema Mohan, recalled that Sreekanth and Latha had purchased the apartment eight years back and had left for the US after the birth of their younger daughter.
Neighbours said that the two children were fond of Indian arts and culture and that Latha would regularly take them for dance, music and yoga classes and added “They were so friendly with everyone.”
