New Delhi: Heavy rains continued to lash New Delhi and NCR on Monday with water-logging reported in many areas. Traffic jams have been reported at Nizamudin bridge, Ashram, Mathura road, near Pragati Maidan, Kalindi Kunj, ITO.

The city is still recovering from the aftermath of the torrential rain that has crippled the capital two days ago. It was the heaviest rainfall that New Delhi had witnessed in the last 10 years. The downpour which went on for around five-hours, had sparked traffic snarls across the city, with heavy water-logging reported at several places.

Authorities were caught off guard once again as Delhiites witnessed blocked drains and malfunctioning traffic lights. There was heavy traffic on Mathura road and Akbar road as well as water-logging near the Indira Gandhi International Airport. A road had also caved in near the Saket metro station.

However, the good news is that temperatures have dropped drastically. The Met has predicted more rain in the coming week.
