Heavy rains lash North, power situation may ease

Narnaul in Haryana received 36 mm of rain while Ludhiana in Punjab received 51 mm of rainfall.

The rain is expected to ease the power situation in the North as hot weather had fuelled high demand leading to repeated scheduled and unscheduled power cuts.
