Chennai: Yesteryear actress Hema Malini was in Chennai for the launch of the Hallmark's Golden County Township and Neo International Sports Academy's Sports County on Friday.

“Chennai is my home. I'm very happy to be here,” Hema Malini said.

Cricketer Kapil Dev is perhaps the right person to endorse the Sports County. But where does Hema Malini fit-in in this sporty affair?

"It's not about sports, it's also about home. I'm glad to know they're converting ancestral properties for the benefit of common people. Now every city is becoming congested. So it's good that they're building a township a little away from the city,” the actress said.

After a jewellery brand and now real estate; so does she prefer playing the role of a brand ambassador?

"We're a celebrity right. So when we wear something, people look up to it-even if it's a small earring. If it's interesting, they try to copy and make it,” Hema Malini said.

When asked what her ideal home would be like, the actress said, “Personally, I like to live in a Bungalow. I've always lived in a bungalow. I can't think of myself living in a flat-it's small and congested. I feel personally I need to live in an open environment with lots of plants and trees and lawn. That's how I live in Mumbai and in Chennai also.”
