Here is how people of Jodhpur set to tame inflation

Jaipur: While the common man is quietly suffering under the steeply rising prices, the people of Jodhpur have found a unique way to put their point across to the Central government.

The finance is up on offer for tomatoes, potatoes and spinach, the vegetables, which have gone missing from the aam aadmis' kitchen due to soaring prices.

In protest of the price rise a group of people in Jodhpur led by a BJP councilor have set up a finance company to give loans for buying vegetables and food items.

Jodhpur BJP Councilor Tribhuvan says, “We not only have finance schemes for vegetable but we're also offering lockers to people to keep them safely.”

It's getting harder to afford packets of lentils and grain. Vegetables find a place on the plate only occasionally. The central and the state governments have been able to do little but blame each other. And it's the common man at the receiving end.

A resident of Jodhpur Kamal Kishore Kumawat says, “I have not eaten green vegetables for quite some time now...so I came here for some finance. This facility should continue till something can be done about the price rise.”

Through their unique way of protesting, the people of Jodhpur are hoping to be heard by the government so that putting together a regular meal ceases to be the struggle its become.
