He's a cartoonist who attacks MPs

New Delhi: As the country marked the fifth anniversary of the attack on Parliament, cartoonist Neeraj Gupta chose to portray the incident in a different light.

In a series of cartoons, Gupta depicts how Parliamentarians themselves abuse a building that requires more respect than what it gets.

When you see Parliamentarians in action, it actually makes for the greatest Indian show on television and when it's a live telecast, they make you feel the brick bats as well.

And it's breaking news when they finally decide to work. It's a House of several of the 'wanted' men and one that would even enfuriate Gandhiji. But it's all done with the noble intentions of helping the common man.

"Common man is suffering a lot. Rs 20,000 are spent per minute during Parliament proceedings. And politicians waste not just minutes but several days by adjourning Parliament," says Gupta, a cartoonist.
