Mumbai: Kareena Kapoor plays an actress named Mahi Arora in Madhur Bhandarkar’s latest film ‘Heroine’. The film tracks the journey of an actress whose career is on a downfall. In many interviews, Kareena Kapoor claimed that Mahi is impulsive, unpredictable and there is nothing common between her and Mahi. However, all the people who have seen the film may not agree with it.
When is the wedding: Kareena Kapoor who is in a relationship with Saif Ali Khan from past several years, is being hounded by this question from long. Lately, Saif’s mother Sharmila Tagore even announced their wedding date. However, as many reports claim, Saif has delayed the wedding because he wants to concentrate on his next film ‘Go Goa Gone’. Saif was previously married to actress Amrita Singh and has two children. In the movie, Mahi is in love with her co-star Aryan Khanna who is going through a bitter divorce. Mahi finally breaks up with him after she realises that he is commitment phobic.
A broken family: In ‘Heroine’, wild child Mahi Arora’s problems begin with the separation of her parents, followed by a difficult childhood. Kareena Kapoor is the younger daughter of Bollywood actors Randhir Kapoor and Babita. After the birth of their two daughters Karisma and Kareena, Babita decided to separate from her husband. She re-united with Randhir in 2007.
Tarannum Jaan is Chameli: In Bollywood, most of the actors believe that you can only prove your acting skills by doing offbeat films. Following the same trend, Kareena Kapoor also played a prostitute in Sudhir Mishra’s 2004 film ‘Chameli’. In ‘Heroine’, Kareena is seen copying her own ‘Chameli’ look and the character as well.
And the MMS scandal: In ‘Heroine’, Mahi Arora deliberately leaks her sex take just a day before the release of her film. The trick works and Mahi’s film becomes a blockbuster. Remember Kareena Kapoor and Shahid Kapoor’s infamous kissing video. Though Shahid and Kareena claimed it wasn’t their clip, the similarities were just too obvious. Did Kareena deliberately do that?
The famous Priyanka-Kareena war: Bollywood actress Priyanka Chopra was rumoured to be in a relationship with Kareena’s former love Shahid. Reports about their cold looks and clashes are common in tabloids. On Karan Johar’s chat show they openly made fun of each other. Lately in a press conference Priyanka Chopra said that she really admires Kareena and Saif as a couple and is looking forward to their wedding. In the movie, Mahi shares a similar relationship with a rival actress played by Mugdha Godse. They are often seen scheming against each other in the film, but maintain a smile when pose for photographs together.
