Bangalore: A hit-and-run accident has left four people dead, and one badly wounded. The mishap occurred in Indira Nagar area of Bangalore early this morning when a person driving a Honda Accord mowed down four people.

As per an eyewitness, the car moved at a high speed, hit a cyclist, and later hit three early morning joggers. The car has a VIP number - 0008.

"There was a foot path 18 inch above ground, when the car climbed on the foot path i realised the gravity, and my leg came in line with the car. Imagine at what speed he must have been , after hitting me he hit a cyclist and mowed down three people," says a victim.

The car which is owned by Mitsun steel private limited has been seized by the Bangalore Police.

On being asked about the car, a Mitsun company spokesperson said it had already been sold, even though the car’s registration papers show Mitsun as the owner.

The driver is 30-year-old Karthik K Somaiah, a resident of the same locality Indira Nagar.The driver is absconding and the injured are being treated at the Manipal Hospital.
