Hockey team for Azlan Shah on Sunday

New Delhi: The Indian hockey team for the Azlan Shah tournament in Malaysia will be selected on Sunday.

The team, currently camping at the Sports Authority of India centre in Bangalore, will go through selection trials on April 21 and 22. The team will be announced on April 23.

The Azlan Shah tournament will be held in Malaysia from May 5 to May 13 and the tournament will also be new head coach Joaquim Carvalho's first assignment with the national team.

India has hit a severe downward spiral after being outclassed in the Asian Games and the Champions Trophy in 2006.
