Jammu: Jammu and Kashmir's opposition People's Democratic Party on Monday demanded a CBI probe into the multi-crore rupee scam in Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) headed by Union Minsiter Farooq Abdullah and registeration of a case against him.
"We do not have trust in the probe here. The way CBI conducted inquiry against Suresh Kalmadi, a similar inquiry should be conducted by CBI against Farooq Abdullah (as head of JKCA in multi-crore scam)", PDP Chief Mehbooba Mufti said.
Farooq has dismised charges against him as "baseless and frivolous".

The way CBI conducted inquiry against Suresh Kalmadi, a similar inquiry should be conducted against Farooq Abdullah, Mufti said.
Mehbooba, who staged a walkout after rejection of their adjournment motion by the Speaker and dis-allowed discussion over the issue in Assembly, said "a First Information Report (FIR) should be registered against him (Farooq)".
"When you have lodged a prima facie FIR against two officers of JKCA Ahsan Mirza and Saleem Khan, the person (Farooq Abdullah) who authorised them the transfer money should also be booked. Why not inquiry againt Farooq"? she said.
Replying to a volley of questions on JKCA scam and her demand to the central government, Mehbooba said "why the Centre takes no action in J&K? Is Indian law not applicable in J&K"?
"Non-action by the Centre is alienating the people here", Mehbooba charged.
The PDP chief said "we want from the Centre a tough stand and action against corruption the way UPA government had acted tough against its own chief minsiters and ministers and even BJP took action against BS Yeddyurappa".
Showing the authorisation letters written to J&k Bank branch by President of JKCA, Farooq Abdullah, Mehbooba said "here is the proof. What more do you want?.
As per the letter written by the President of JKCA (Farooq) to Khanyar Branch of the Bank, the loan was raised against the own deposit of JKCA and it was credited to the account of Mirza".
