Home ministry monitoring B'lore situation

New Delhi: The Union Home Ministry is closely monitoring the situation in Bangalore. Seven serial blasts took place in the IT city today. One woman was killed and many were injured in the blast

Home Secretary Madhukar Gupta and other senior officials are in constant touch with Karnataka government officials, a ministry spokesman said.

"A senior Home Ministry official is closely monitoring the situation," he added.

Meanwhile, Shivraj Patil Home Minister condemned the blasts in eastern parts of Bangalore and offered all

assistance to the Karnataka government to deal with the situation.
