New Delhi: Ever wondered how some students always come back from their summer vacations with wonderfully crafted projects while you and your child struggle with pieces of thermocol. Here is how.

Science diagrams are all messed up, social studies still doesn't make sense and there are several submission deadlines to be met. Twelve-year-old Arjun's school reopened on July 2 after the summer break but his homework is still not complete. Was it his fault?

Arjun says, “I didn't work at all. I just played pool and soccer and golf.”

Or should the system be blamed?

Arjun's Mother Anita Sud says, “They give so much homework.”

It's holiday homework not just for the students but also for their parents. But unlike Arjun who is struggling to complete his homework. There are students who have gone ahead and outsourced their science projects and charts.

Meet Shalu Bangar, a class VIII student of New Delhi Public School who was happily holidaying in Jalandar while others were working hard to finish her project on industrial waste for a sum of Rs 300.

Shalu says, “I had gone to Punjab and I had so many other things to do so I gave them my project. I hope I get good marks now.”

This is a homework factory - from arts and craft projects to the lifecycle of a butterfly you name it they will make it for you. All you have to do is shell out anything between Rs 100 to Rs 300 and you are all set to become the apple of your teacher's eye.

The owner of Melody Projects Manoj Kumar says, “We keep in mind the student's budget; it should look like the student has made it. And we try and ensure that the student scores well.”

We had heard of outsourcing of IT services and real estate management but this outsourcing is clearly set to raise several eyebrows.
