ALUVA: A pavilion of homoeopathic medicine set up on the premises of Thiruvairanikulam Mahadeva Temple, where the 12-day Nadathurappu festival of Sree Parvathi Devi is being celebrated, has been grabbing the attention of the devotees visiting the temple.
A joint venture of the Institution of Homoeopaths, Kerala and Kochi Air City unit of Junior Chamber International (JCI), the pavilion, where free medical service is being provided, also acts as a platform for spreading awareness on the causes of several diseases and their homoeopathic treatment.
The Department of Homoeopathy is also assisting the programme by providing the service of three doctors.
“In homoeopathy, the symptoms of various diseases are observed and studied minutely. The system is highly effective in curing old and new types of epidemic, lifestyle diseases, surgery required diseases, hereditary disorders, auto immune diseases, infertility, cancer, epilepsy, hysteria and diseases among children,” programme director Dr Praveen Dharmarathnam told Express. “The system is scientific, safe and simple,” he added.
The exhibition has a detailed unit about the behavioural disorders of people especially children. “Identifying the problem in the early stages, maintaining a healthy body and mind during pregnant stage, proper supervision of parents, intelligent selection of proper treatment and continued treatment on the directive of doctors are crucial to the cure of behavioural disorders,” the doctors explained.
Giving guidelines to elders and pregnant women, the doctors said taking care of mere physical fitness during pregnancy was not enough.
The homoeopathy care ensures the mental, emotional and spiritual refinement of the mother which will have far reaching
effect on the new generation.
