New Delhi: British actor Hugh Grant will not only be a guest at the wedding of his former girlfriend of 13 years Elizabeth Hurley to Indian millionaire businessman Arun Nayar but he will present her with something rather out of the ordinary.
The actor is reportedly gifting her--hold your breath--a monkey, who is currently at a British zoo. The primate is to be named Elizabeth in return for Grant paying for its upkeep. The gift is apparently a reference to the nickname she used to give him when they were dating, reported Daily Mail.
Apart from the unusual wedding gift, Grant will play the usher at the big event due to take place in the beginning of March. He will have special speech-making responsibilities.
“Hugh will be like a co-host alongside the best man on the day. He will be making a speech - but pointedly it will be clean. It will be a comedy turn, but there will be no smutty little asides or innuendoes about the relationship they had all those years,” Daily Mail quoted a source as saying.
Meanwhile, his closeness to Hurley is reportedly one of the big reasons behind his recent split with Jemima Khan.
