New Delhi: Moderate faction of Hurriyat Conference, headed by Mirwaiz Umer Farooq, is all set to participate in the international Kashmir conference to be held in Pakistan later this month.
A three-member delegation will attend the conference being organised by Kashmir Institute of International Relations in Islamabad on March 16 and 17.
Among those attending the conference at Islamabad are former Chairmen Abdul Gani Bhat and Moulana Abbass Ansari and senior member Nayeem Ahmad Khan. Mirwaiz, who received the invitation to attend the conference recently, has decided not to attend it.
The decision to send a delegation for the conference and the names of those attending it was finalised during a party meet held on Wednesday. The meet also discussed the prevailing political situation and organisational matters.
Executive members Bilal Gani Lone, Aga Syed Hassan Al-Safvi, Fazal Haq Qureshi, Masroor Abbass Ansari and Shabir Ahmad Dar were among those present during the meet.
