Mumbai: It's going to be an action-packed New Year for Hollywood in 2007. Here's what is in store for 2007.
First up is the Leonardo Di Caprio starrer Blood Diamond, which opens in the second week of January. The film follows the trail of conflict diamonds in the middle of Sierra Leone's civil war.
Next comes actor-filmmaker Clint Eastwood's much-talked about Flags of Our Fathers, based on the lives of the American soldiers who raised the American flag at the battle of Iwo Jima, a turning point in World War II.
Hollywood action heats up with actor Sylvester Stallone getting into the ring again as Rocky Balboa and Mel Gibson's Apocalypto, which is an action adventure film set in the times of the Mayans.
A good year forecasted for thriller fans, with Zodiac, starring Jake Gyllenhaal and Robert Downey Jr based on a serial killer's cat and mouse game.
Another film to watch out for is director Robert De Niro’s The Good Shepherd. The film follows actor Matt Damon as a Yale graduate rising through the ranks of the CIA during the Cold War.
This year is not going to be short on fun either. Couch potatoes of the world rejoice as The Simpsons hits the big screen.
And Borat's next target is India. Kazakhstan's sixth most famous man meets real people in real situations with hysterical consequences.
The sequels are also in the making with Spider Man 3 and Shrek 3 all set to emerge with new challenges.
The realm of magic and wizards, too, will be on an all-time high with Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix. So, grab the popcorn and let the show begin.
