Hyderabad: 22-year-old uses pepper spray to save herself from kidnappers

Hyderabad: A 22-year-old girl in Hyderabad survived a kidnap attempt by using pepper spray when she was returning home on Tuesday night. The girl had taken an auto for her home but the driver and his friend allegedly took a detour instead of the usual route.

Sensing something wrong, the girl called her friend who alerted the police. The girl also used pepper spray on them and jumped off the auto rickshaw.

The two accused have been arrested and the girl is now recovering in a city hospital.
