Hyderabad blasts reek of Bangla connection

Hyderabad/New Delhi: The deadly RDX that killed nearly 50 people 10 days back in the twin blasts in Hyderabad was assembled in a house in a crowded street in Hasmathpet locality, which is on the outskirts of the city.

The suspicion was confirmed after prime accused Imran Khan made this confession during the narco-analysis test on Tuesday.

Though, his family says Imran was innocent, it admitted that two other accused of the earlier blast in Mecca Masjid – Shoeb Jagirdar, who is also Imran's uncle, and Shiekh Nayeem stayed together in the house for one night before the Mecca Masjid blasts.

Sources say that the accused had planned the attack in 2005 along with the two absconding masterminds – Karachi-based Shahid Bilal and Dhaka-based Abu Hamza.

“Shoeb Jagirdar and Nayeem stayed in our house for one night,” Imran’s mother Jameela Fatima said.

Police has also intensified searches for another Bangladeshi Mujeeb-ur-Rahman who is suspected to have planted the bomb at Gokul Chat Bhandar along with yet another Bangladeshi Rizwan Ghani, who allegedly planted the bomb at Lumbini Park.

His photograph almost matches with the sketch released earlier but the police still have no clue about the explosives that these Harkat-ul-Jehad-al-Islami operatives have hidden in the city.

Earlier, blast suspect Imran Khan revealed in his narco-analysis test that over nine kilograms of RDX is still hidden in Hyderabad and Nalgonda.

Sources say that it was Abu Hamza, assisted by two Pakistanis and a Bangladeshi, prepared the bomb that was used in Mecca Masjid blast. Also according to sources, two more persons from the old city have been picked up for questioning.

Meanwhile, another suspect Nayeem who underwent the narco-analysis test in Bangalore on Wednesday has reportedly confirmed what Imran revealed on Tuesday.
