Hyderabad: Hyderabad-based Jayaprakash Dullapally secured first rank while the second spot was bagged by N Leela Kumari of Narasaraopet in Guntur district in the Integrated Common Test-2012 for admission into MBA and MCA courses in the state the results of which were announced on Sunday.
The examination was conducted by Kakatiya University, Warangal this year on behalf of the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education (APSCHE). Securing 172 marks out of 200, Jayaprakash wants to pursue his MBA in Technology Management from Osmania University (OU).
“I have been preparing for Ph.D in Management from one of the IIMs and wanted to pursue this particular course from OU, hence I wrote the ICET. I never thought I would top the exam,” Jayaprakash said, who found maths section slightly tricky. “I have been working for four years now and preparing for the exam was difficult. The maths section was out of the box and time management was essential,” says the graduate in statistics and computer sciences.

Hyderabad-based Jayaprakash Dullapally secured first rank while the second spot was bagged by N Leela Kumari.
The top honours were bagged by non-engineering students as the state second rank holder N Leela Kumari completed her B.Sc in mathematics, statistics and computer science this year. She missed the top spot by one mark and has also secured 90 percentile in CAT.
Candidates can apply for re-verification of the transcripts till June 26 by paying a demand draft of Rs 1,000 in favour of ‘Convenor, ICET-2012’ payable at Warangal drawn on any national bank.
