Members of the ‘Make a Wish Foundation’in Hyderabad requested the state police department to host a little welcome party for the child, according him the role of a police inspector for a day.
"I want to arrest everyone who indulges in bad deeds. Thieves must be locked up in jails and I want to do this task," Mahak said on his way to the Jubilee Hill police station of Hyderabad. The child enjoyed the attention, with salutes and prying cameras all around him.
"We spoke to Mahak what was his one wish in life. He wanted to become a police officer. We spoke to the police personnel and they agreed to fulfill his wish," said one of the NGO member.
For the child’s mother, it was an emotional moment. "He has limited time. We are thankful to the NGO and the police department that his wish was fulfilled. I wish he could have grown up to become a police officer," Mahak's mother Ranjita Kothari said.
