Hyderabad: A woman advocate lodged a complaint with city police alleging that her former boss had duped her by making a false promise of marriage. The woman, 30-year-old Annapurna, hails from Barkatpura.
On Tuesday morning, she along with activists of women’s associations staged a dharna in front of a senior advocate PS Saibaba’s house at Habsiguda. They alleged that Annapurana used to work as a junior advocate with the 48-year-old Saibaba till 2009 and during that time, Saibaba physically exploited her by promising her marriage.
Even as the women were shouting slogans, Saibaba came out to talk to them, but was assaulted with slippers by Annapurna and other protesters. Police rushed to the spot and shifted Saibaba to OU police station.

The woman lodged a complaint with police alleging that her former boss had abused her by promising marriage.
Annapurna told mediapersons that she was exploited by Saibaba and demanded that he should marry her and make good his promise. She said that Saibaba had forced her to quit the job in 2009 after she asked him to marry her. No case has been registered so far, OU police said.
