Hyderabad: Acknowledging the efforts of University College of Engineering (UCE) Osmania University, students placed with various corporate firms said the UCE’s placement department was only functioning entity on the campus during Telangana agitations.
The BE students of 2012 batch received as many as 728 job offers. The highest package offered was Rs 9.5 lakh per annum by Google whereas another student secured a job with Microsoft for Rs 9 lakh per annum. The average package for placement this year went up to around Rs 4.8 lakh per annum.
The UCE principal VSS Kumar urged the students to help their alma mater by coming back to the college and hiring new talents. OU vice chancellor S Satyanarayana appreciated the placement office for getting a record number of job offers despite economy recession.
