Mumbai:Actor Vidyut Jamwal, who is back with Vipul Shah's 'Commando' after playing the bad guy opposite John Abraham in Nishikanth Kamath's 'Force', feels that action is his forte.
Vidyut had some high-octane fight scenes with John in the movie which won him a lot of accolades and some awards too.
"As an actor I am open to all kind of roles whichever good script comes my way. But action is my forte and I can do better in it. So it will always be my first preference,"
Vidyut said at a promotional event of his upcoming film. Lot of actors including Salman Khan, Ajay Devgn, Akshay Kumar and John have been high on action films these days but Vidyut sees no competition.
"I am not competing with anyone here. I believe everyone is unique in his own way, so am I. I am here to prove myself. I just want to increase the level of action in Hindi cinema. For a very long time we were little behind but I feel
with 'Commando' we will take action to another level," he said.
"When I came in 'Force' I performed some stunts and everyone liked it so I decided to do better with 'Commando'. I hope it turns out to be good. I have really worked hard for this film," the 34-year-old said.
"We have done lot of preparations. We went through training with the entire team to make sure no one gets injured during the shooting of the film," he added.
Vidyut has also designed his own stunts in the film.
"I have designed the action scenes. And I am thankful to our producer Vipul Shah to allow me to design my stunts. My base is martial arts, so one who knows martial art can do any kind of fighting scene," he said.
The film is directed by debutante Dilip Ghosh and is scheduled to release on April 12.
