New Delhi: Accused of spot-fixing, Rajasthan Royals bowler Sreesanth reiterated he is not guilty following his release from Tihar Jail along with the other accused - Ankeet Chavan - on Monday evening.
"I played the game in good spirit. I don't want to forget the incident, because it has taught me lots of things. I will surely abide by the law," Sreesanth told reporters after his release.
"I am very happy. I must thank god, family and friends. It was a testing phase for me. I believe in the Indian judicial system," he added.
Sreesanth was arrested along with Chavan and Ajit Chandila, still in prison, on May 16 from Mumbai by Delhi Police. Sreesanth has represented India in 27 Tests, 53 ODIs and 10 T20s. He also won the 2011 World Cup and the 2007 World T20 with the Indian team.
