While Govinda's chances of getting a Congress ticket for a second term are quite low, he seems hopeful.
"I spoke for the poor. I did what masses wanted in my constituency," claimed Govinda. "I only want the elders to bless me. You can only enjoy being an MP if the elders are with you and bless you."
