Won’t run as Hillary's vice president: Obama

CNN-IBN

New Delhi: Democratic presidential forerunner Barack Obama has dismissed speculation that he could run as Hillary Clinton's vice president. Hillary had floated that proposal after her Tuesday wins in Ohio and Texas.

Obama has emphasised in an interview to an American network that he is running for president.

Neither Obama nor Clinton is likely to win 2,025 delegates needed to secure the presidential candidacy and the contest looks all set to boil down to who gets the most super delegates on their side.

Barack Obama beat fellow Democrat Hillary Clinton in the Wyoming caucus on Saturday.

CNN projections show Obama has won over Hillary Clinton by a wide margin – 59 to 41 per cent.
