London: Nineteen-year-old tells Daniel Radcliffe, who plays Harry Potter in the films of the same name, tells CNN-IBN Entertainment Editor Rajeev Masand about growing up on screen and much else. The sixth film of the eight-film series, Harry Potter And The Half-Blood Prince, is scheduled to release on July 16 in India.
On-screen Harry Potter, Daniel Radcliffe, speaks about growing up as the kid wizard and a magic spell that he would like to possess.
Rajeev Masand: You started the Harry Potter journey when you were 10 or 11 years old and you are going to be 20 soon and in a year, the saga ends. You have pretty much grown up with the films haven't you.
Daniel Radcliffe: Sort of yes. It's interesting because that is very much the preception that I have grown up on screen. But I think that all the moments that I grew up in were all off-screen in my own personal life. But yes you have certainly seen the transformation from a kid to a burgeoning adult.
Rajeev Masand: In the films, Harry learns and performs a variety of magic spells. Given the chance, what's the one spell that you wish you could perform as Daniel Radcliffe?
Daniel Radcliffe: The ability to become invisible would be great. And then there is another spell, Alohomora, which unlocks all kinds of doors. That could be kind of fun. I don't mind having a go at that one. Either of those could be fun - invisibility or unlocking doors.
